Tulisa from N-Dubz - Exclusive Interview by Lauren Holden

With 3 MOBO awards, 3 top 40 singles and a platinum debut album under their belts, it's been non stop for London-based hip hop act N-Dubz since they formed back in 2007. Debut album 'Uncle B' shot to number one in the charts shortly after its recent release, marking the start of what's to be a busy year ahead for the act.

Here, N-Dubz Tula 'Tulisa' Constostavlos takes time out of the band's hectic schedule to talk music and make-up with Lauren Holden.

Lauren: Hi Tulisa. I imagine the band's been pretty busy lately, but what's been N-Dubz most memorable gig so far?
Tulisa: We have been very busy completing our second album and releasing and promoting the first single, 'I need You'.
We recently performed at Children in need in Northern Ireland.
I made my first solo performance at Pinktober at the Royal Albert hall, which was very nerve wracking as I am not used to performing solo.
Our most memorable gig so far is hard as there are so many! Probably one of the summer festival gigs like Radio 1 Big Weekend or T4 on the Beach because the crowds were huge and had a fantastic atmosphere.

Lauren: N-Dubz recently won two MOBO awards. How did that feel and what's been the biggest highlight for N-Dubz?
Tulisa: We won 2 MOBOs - Best Album and Best Song. It was amazing to win and especially the Best Album award.
Probably the biggest highlight was our first album, 'Uncle B' going platinum.

Lauren: You recently appeared as guests on TV's The Xtra Factor. How was that and who's your tip to win this year's show?
Tulisa: The Xtra Factor was really fun. We really liked John and Edward (who are fans) and were really sweet and enthusiastic. I really like Stacey, she's very down to earth and has a great voice.

Lauren: What's your daily beauty routine and can you let Barry M fans in on any top tips?
Tulisa: I'm not great at drinking lots of water but I'm trying to improve. I cleanse and moisturise and exfoliate once a week. Let your skin breath by using concealer where you need it, instead of foundation all over the face.

Lauren: What make-up product can't you live without?
Tulisa: I don't use foundation every day, so I can't live without concealer and powder as I like my skin to look matte. I love peachy toned blusher and of course mascara and black eyeliner.

Lauren: Do you have a favourite Barry M product?
Tulisa: I love the lipstick in 147 - it's a beautiful pale peach shade and is very matte which I really like. It looks great with a smokey grey or brown eye, or a classic flicked black eye line. I would stick with the peachy theme and wear it with a peachy blusher too.

Lauren: Finally, what's in the pipeline for yourself and N-Dubz?
Tulisa: We are currently on tour around the country till mid December.
We will be performing at Stars of 2009 on T4, The Jingle Bell Ball and Jonathan Ross within the next few weeks. Hopefully we will have the chance to chill with our families over Christmas.
Then in January we are releasing our next single 'Playing with fire' featuring Mr.Hudson.
